Personalized Stanley tumblers
A Stanley Quencher is already the cup people carry everywhere. Engraving a name on it makes it theirs for good. We laser-engrave genuine Stanley 40 oz tumblers with names in script, split monograms (the big MOM with kids' names), or plain text, and you watch it happen in a live preview before you buy.
Engraving isn't printing: the laser removes the powder coat to expose the polished steel beneath (or a rich gold tone on the Gilded collection), so it never fades, peels, or washes off.

How Stanley engraving works
Pick a color, type the name, choose a font, and the preview shows your design on a real photo of that exact cup in the true engraving finish. Names run vertically along the body by default (the way our real orders overwhelmingly go), and the design is auto-centered in the engraving area, so it can't end up crooked.
Before payment you approve the exact production proof. Order by 2 PM ET and it ships the same day from our Pennsylvania studio.
Quencher, Flip Straw, or Gilded?
The 40 oz Quencher is the classic with the handle. The Flip Straw adds a leak-resistant flip lid for commutes. The Gilded collection is the show-piece: its coating hides a gold layer, so every letter engraves in gold. All three are genuine Stanley; we're an independent engraving studio, not affiliated with Stanley 1913.
Choosing a font and layout
A vertical script name is the order we ship most: it follows the line of the cup, reads elegantly from across a room, and suits almost every name from four letters to fourteen. Block lettering suits bold, short names and nicknames (COACH, DAD, JU JU) and reads strongest horizontal. The split monogram (MOM opened up with the kids' names inside) is the sentimental favorite.
Two practical tips from a few thousand cups: skip punctuation unless it's doing real work, and when in doubt size the design up. Our new full-cup engraving area exists because confident names simply look better. The live preview makes this a five-second experiment rather than a leap of faith.
Care: dishwashers, ice, and daily life
The engraving is bare stainless steel, so there is nothing on the surface to protect. Wash it however Stanley says to wash the cup itself (the Quencher body is dishwasher-safe), knock it around in the car cup holder, run it through a school year. The name will outlast the powder coat around it. If you ever manage to wear out an engraving, we genuinely want a photo.

Common questions
- Does engraving void the Stanley warranty?
- Customizing a product may affect the manufacturer's warranty. Our engraving only removes the outer coating in the design area and never touches the vacuum seal, and our own remake-or-refund guarantee covers any engraving defect.
- Is this a genuine Stanley?
- Yes, every tumbler is a genuine Stanley product. Personalize Shop is an independent customization service and is not affiliated with Stanley 1913.
- What does the engraving look like on dark colors?
- On dark powder coats like black, the engraving reveals bright polished steel with strong contrast. The live preview shows the exact result for the color you pick.
